FROZEN PEOPLE 1.3.2025 Safety
Safety

Due to the pre-event warm weather, the festival grounds might be slippery, wet, and slushy. The area will also be dark in the evening. We will do our best to ensure safe movement around the area. However, please move with caution.
The Frozen People festival’s outdoor event is located in Pikisaari. Do not leave the festival area and venture onto the surrounding ice, which is partly weak due to river currents and waterways.
We recommend entering through the official entrance, where the paths are maintained. Other routes and the surrounding area may be dangerously slippery.
The event will feature flashing lights and strobe effects. The music will be loud in some areas, so earplugs are recommended.
It is prohibited to bring the following items to the area:
-
Weapons, knives, and other dangerous objects and substances
-
Alcoholic beverages, drugs
Please do not bring pets to the area, both due to the noise level of the music and the presence of other festival-goers.
At our event, everyone has the right to feel safe, free from discrimination, racism, harassment, and both physical and verbal abuse. Let's work together for a safer space:

-
Give space for everyone to be themselves, respecting diversity. Avoid making assumptions based on appearance or actions regarding sexuality, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, values, socioeconomic background, or health.
-
Respect others' personal physical and mental space. Do not touch others without permission or speak disrespectfully.
-
Meet others with an open mind and goodwill, contributing to an equal and respectful atmosphere with your actions. Be ready to learn and apologize if you unintentionally offend someone.
-
If you experience or observe concerning behavior, please contact:
-
the information point staff or security personnel in Pikisaari.
-
At Valve, reach out to the Safer Space team’s harassment contact persons, who can be identified by their orange vests, or security personnel.
-

Security personnel have the right to conduct security checks and remove disruptive, threatening, or overly intoxicated individuals from the event if necessary. There will also be a trained first aid team present in Pikisaari.

Lost items can be inquired about with staff. After the event, lost items will be taken to the Oulu police station.
